Place context is not a cancellation policy
The official local-body directory records Mandrem in Pernem, North Goa. It does not publish a cancellation policy for a spa transaction or confirm that an advertiser operates there. Any terms relevant to an actual purchase need to come from the records of that purchase.
Keep three questions separate: what a payment was described as, what terms were supplied and when a cancellation request was made. Words such as deposit, advance and fee should be copied as written, not treated as interchangeable labels with an automatic refund consequence. No local entitlement or deadline is asserted here.
Create a terms-and-timing record
Retain the quotation or confirmation, the cancellation wording that was provided, the payment acknowledgement and the relevant conversation. Record when each was received. If a policy webpage was involved, keep the URL and a dated capture of the version you saw; a current page may differ from an earlier version.
Write a short sequence showing the terms communicated, the payment event, the cancellation request and the reply. Mark any missing item honestly. If a condition appears only in a later message, record that chronology without concluding by yourself whether the condition is enforceable. That is a different question from organising the facts.
Separate a request from its delivery and acknowledgement
A draft message, a sent message and a reply are different records. Note the status actually shown by the communication system without claiming it proves what another person read or agreed. Retain any response that addresses the request, including a request for more information or an explanation of a charge.
Acknowledge uncertainty about dates or time zones when you have it. Do not backdate a screenshot or edit a receipt to fit the timeline. Your own notes can explain the uncertainty beside an unchanged original. This is practical record preparation rather than a legal evidence standard.
Hypothetical example: terms arrive after a payment
An invented illustration: a person retains a payment acknowledgement, then receives a message containing cancellation conditions, and later asks to cancel. The records show when those documents were received. They do not by themselves decide the outcome or establish a right to a refund.
A neutral summary says, “These are the terms I retained, this is when they were sent, and this is the cancellation request and response.” It can identify an unexplained deduction without alleging that every deduction is unlawful. The ambiguous search phrase supplies no missing policy or service definition.
Use the record to describe the disputed point
If the concern remains unresolved, the National Consumer Helpline explains its pre-litigation grievance process. Check the official instructions for submission and tracking. Explain the particular term, timing or deduction you dispute, supported by the relevant original records. Submission does not guarantee a refund or a response in a promised period.
This article is not legal advice and does not select a forum, determine a contractual right or advertise a service in Mandrem. It complements the general Goa evidence guide by addressing cancellation chronology rather than repeating an overview of massage terminology.

Questions about this consumer guide
Does the word deposit guarantee a refund?
This article makes no such claim. Preserve the actual terms, payment record and cancellation correspondence for the appropriate process.
What if the policy changed online?
Keep the dated version you actually retained, together with its source. Do not substitute the current page for earlier evidence.
Is a sent cancellation message the same as an accepted cancellation?
No. Describe the message status and any reply separately without assuming acceptance or a legal outcome.
Does Mandrem have a special procedure in this guide?
No. The cited directory establishes geography; the timeline method is general record-keeping guidance.
